Job Description

Purpose of the role:

The Senior BPA Manager supports the Manufacturing Biopharma strategic workstream from financial perspective to allow proper decision making towards the fit for purpose future manufacturing footprint for Biopharma.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

1. Supports Sandoz Head Bio Supply Strategy & Alliance in the alignment and coordination of the partnership between Sandoz Biopharma and NTO on mid and long-term aspects of the collaboration (i.e. not in scope are: operational S&OP matters, near term network product allocation & demand plans)

o Lead financial projections related to Bio BU business strategy with Sandoz NTO brownfield site execution, including tracking progress of main KPIs since CAR is approved

o Lead financial scenarios of additional capacity required evaluating trade offs between internal manufacturing vs CMO

o Active contributes to the Sandoz MSA for NTO Bio-manufacturing including financial simulations of scenarios, with main focus on manufacturing prices per molecule, savings to be committed as part of the contract, management of volume changes and its impact on prices, management of extraordinary cost (e.g. product transfers), etc

o Aligns ongoing updated assumptions on Bio NTO network into Sandoz business and financial planning processes, including implications of volume forecast in the mid-long-term plans

2. Supports timely decision making on future Bio Network Manufacturing strategy in line with the Bio Portfolio strategy and Sandoz Strategic Review needs

o Business case for greenfield vs. brownfield expansion vs. CMO network designs

o Contribute to design for a potential permanent Sandoz Bio Platform structure and FTE resource plan

o Identify & quantify implications of ramping up new manufacturing facilities and options to minimize them: yields assumptions reasonability, capacity utilization including absorption of fixed cost, plans to bring new footprint to be best in class cost per unit

3. Lead financial projections of Technical Development needs, ensuring full alignment on capacity & resources needed to be properly captured as part of the mid & long term plans, evaluating trade offs of internal production vs CDMO

4. Supports oversight on external market and competitor manufacturing network trends to inform Sandoz Bio Network strategy with key focus in cost per unit roadmaps & benchmarking

5. Prepare KPIs on a regular basis to track project delivery against agreed targets and milestones, identifies gaps and should issues arise engages with Bio BU and NTO to perform root cause investigations to identify preventive and corrective actions, shares lessons learnt

6. Searches and implements innovative ways to develop the interface between Bio, Division, Group and NTO Finance in line with our cultural and digital strategy

7. Foster a culture of high performance and trust

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar diploma (MBA preferred), recognized financial qualification

• Fluent English written and spoken

• 5-6 years’ experience in financial controlling thereof 3 years in manufacturing business planning & analysis, ideally within Pharmaceutical industry with exposure to Biologic production

• Excellent proficiency in Excel and Power Point

• Familiarity with financial reporting systems

• Highly skilled in communication to top management and ability to transform complex technical messages into top management decision making options
