Based in our Paris office, your role is to make The Insiders an integral part of the media-mix in the French market. You pave the way on a daily bases to grow the awareness and relevance for Word of Mouth within the marketing & media communities and organizations on C-level and beyond. You are opening doors and managing stakeholders, influencers and key decision takers. Hereby you fulfil successfully following tasks:
Your Mission:
Land and grow sustainable revenue from new DMU into strategic accounts.
The primary objective of this role is to identify new business opportunities to generate new revenue and help the company grow.
- You are the driving force behind generating new sales leads, contacts and pipeline.
- You pioneer with passion, while understanding where to match client needs with our solutions. To succeed in this field, you are going to need to be extremely commercially aware, target-driven, creative, analytical and very much a people-person.
- You will need to think creatively in routes to market and open doors, whilst also exhibiting tenacity and persistence.
- You are also going to need to have a head for figures and, at the same time, be a seasoned hand at developing relationships. -You report to the Regional Lead Sales
- Prospection: Qualify sales leads, identifying developing opportunities in meetings.
- Pipeline building: Providing specialist advice on our solutions, to convert into proposals and closing business deals
- Facilitate Client Retention and Growth: identify and support ways to grow clients into healthy long-term relationships
- Contribute and sharpen the sales process: share expertise in sales enablement and marketing, to help grow awareness, content engagement and sales leads within an international context.
Analytical skills: For business development, however, this creativity must be built on the bedrock of an analytical mind. You will need to use market knowledge and sales data to present opportunities to stakeholders and you will need to quickly understand what makes commercial sense to pursue and what could potentially cost more to explore than it could ever bring in.
- An in-depth understanding of the wider market is essential if new, realistic, attainable and profitable opportunities are to be proposed and developed.
- Communication skills.Business development is not for those who like to work alone. You will need to obtain support from senior management, marketing, finance and product or service teams. Outside of the company, your role is to convince others to invest in, or partner with, our company, so presentation and communication skills willbe frequently called on
- Negotiation skills: New business always requires new terms, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that the terms agreed upon are favourable to your organisation. Communication skills will gain you a foot through the door –but having negotiation skills will ensure the door is kept opened for future growth.
- Goal-focused:New business is rarely won overnight. You are going to need to demonstrate that you can maintain and develop relationships over long periods, yet still havethe ability to pull in quick wins to meet objectives and targets.Your focus must always be on meeting targets and you must demonstrate that you have the ability to pursue a long-term strategic vision whilst remaining flexible enough to respond tactically to changing demands or unexpected opportunities.
- Organisational skills.There are many balls to juggle and not all will be falling at the same rate. You must respond quickly to meet tight deadlines, yet still nurture and develop slower-burning opportunities.
- Warrior mentality: the ability to relentlessly go for the results through discipline, continuous effort and feel passionate about what you do
- Mandatory: German mothertongue English = company language
- At least 5 years of marketing experience in FMCG industry on the client or agency side, or both. Understanding of digital marketing and advocacy building tools is a plus.
- Sales experience is not mandatory, but you are able to demonstrate an ability to transform from traditional FMCG marketer to a sales and client service.
- You can demonstrate your ability to understand different business models and challenges based on industry type and suggest relevant solution from The Insiders tools.
- You have the talent of building relationships with clients. You are able to communicate with confidence with high-level people in client’s organisation.
- You have a strong existing network in the major Consumer Goods sectors (FMCG, Consumer electronics, Pharma OTC)
