Buyer (m/f/x)
Located in Munich and part of the European Procurement team, the Buyer (m/f/x) role is responsible for providing best-in-class procurement support to NIO’s organization, driving sourcing activities, supporting digitalization and process automation efforts, and delivering on savings goals and objectives.
- Drive procurement activities primarily in areas of indirect materials and services
- Meet high expectations in delivering total cost savings and cost avoidance
- Prepare and execute RFQs as well as risk management
- Prepare and conduct supplier negotiations
- Perform spend and market analysis
- Support development and implementation of commodity strategies
- Act as project leader in cross-functional project teams
- Develop and manage supplier relationships and control the contractual and commercial obligations of each supplier
- Apply NIO’s sourcing policy and processes effectively to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Higher education degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, (Business) Engineering, Supply Chain Management or another commercial field
- Several years work experience in the field of procurement, ideally in the automotive industry or retail
- Team player with excellent intercultural communication skills, completely at home in an international work environment
- Flexible and dynamic mindset
- Confident user of MS Office package, MS Project and MS Outlook, ability to gather and analyze data effectively. SAP experience would be an advantage
- Fluency in English is critical to this role, additional language(s) a plus
- Excellent negotiation skills
