The volatility of renewable energies is constantly increasing the need for coordination among the grid operators, both nationally and internationally. Therefore, 50Hertz is working hard on innovative formats and tools for this exchange and is looking for a candidate to reinforce our team in this challenging and exciting domain as soon as possible to take the role of IT Integration Project Lead. In the context of the energy transition, you develop communication infrastructures for intensive data exchange among power grid operators for international and interdisciplinary collaboration. The digitalisation of electricity grid operations places high demands on the communication links between the various market participants. You will contribute your experience to the development of new communication infrastructures and middleware solutions, constantly coordinate your work in national and international committees, and then assume responsibility for operations. In doing so, you will demonstrate your passion for continuously following trends and technologies in the areas of Managed File Transfer (MFT), Message Driven Architecture (MDA) as well as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and deriving, developing and operating targeted solutions from them. In close coordination with the key users and process owners at 50Hertz, you will analyze their requirements and work intensively on their business processes. You accompany the selection, implementation and extension of the systems. You will provide service-oriented advice and training, benefiting from your clear and authoritative communication style. At the same time, you will be responsible for incident, problem, change, configuration, performance and security management of the applications in coordination with the IT infrastructure, IT network and IT security teams to ensure a high level of operational security. In addition, you will participate in a changing telephone on-call duty in the team. For your projects, you will be responsible for IT project management, IT coordination and managing external IT service providers. As you will also accompany the procurement processes, your general commercial basic knowledge will be in demand. Required skills and experience Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or another IT discipline, alternatively also professional training as an IT specialist, Several years of very good experience in planning, operation and further development of middleware software with a focus on Managed File Transfer (MFT), Message Drive Architecture (MDA) or comparable middleware architectures, Good experience in the use of network infrastructures and network standards (e.g. MPLS), Good knowledge in the use of message bus systems (e.g. ActiveMQ, FUSE MQ, KAFKA) as well as transfer protocols (SMTP, HTTP, SFTP) is an advantage, IT project management experience and knowledge of ITIL based service management, Experience in IT provider management, Confident handling of MS-Office and MS-Project.
