We are looking for an experienced Deal Desk Specialist (f/m/d) to join our growing international team in Germany or UK.


As the Europe Deal Desk Specialist, you will be joining the Sales Operations team in supporting a high growth, fast paced, Global Sales Organization. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to provide quoting and deal structuring support to the Global Sales Team.


In your role, you will partner with Sales to structure contracts that mutually benefit ABBYY and its Customers. Enterprise contract negotiation is an art and a science, a successful candidate will know how to think strategically, solve problems, and introduce healthy friction to the process while doing everything to ensure the deal gets done. The ideal candidate should possess finance, legal, and accounting acumen as well as general strong business judgement.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist Global Deal Desk Manager with creating a Deal Desk process at ABBYY working cross functionally across various stakeholder groups including sales, legal, sales operations, order fulfillment, finance and product marketing
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of ABBYY’s licensing and pricing models to provide deal structuring guidelines and ensure that all deals align with corporate strategies and guidelines
  • Assist with non-standard deal requests, structuring sophisticated deals, driving cross-functional and cross solution teamwork to accelerate deal cycles and ensure revenue recognition requirements are handled
  • Drive best practices to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness via forecast calls, deal reviews, early checkpoint and enforcement of standard business practices and policies
  • Drive enhancements to the quote-to-order processes and policies
  • Other duties as required

 

 

Requirements:


  • University or equivalent degree required
  • 5+ years of experience with deal structuring/quoting complex SaaS transactions for a fast-growing multi-national company
  • Clear business focus and proven track record in structuring commercial negotiations
  • Team-oriented mindset with highly collaborative and strong interpersonal skills to build cross-functional relationships with diverse audiences
  • Strong Project management - able to take on large initiatives and execute cross functional projects
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; diligent with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Solid understanding of software revenue recognition principles
  • Experience in contract management
  • Proficient knowledge of Salesforce, Apttus/Conga CPQ & CLM is a plus
  • Profound knowledge of English language required, Business Level Proficiency in German, French or Russian languages would be a plus
