FEM Calculation Engineer (f/m/d)

*LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU**Your profile** MSc or bachelor’s degree within Solid Mechanics or equivalent* Beginning of your career or with a few years’ experience working with calculations within the field of mechanical engineering in the power generation market* Experience of CAE programs like ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, Ansa, HyperWorks and open-source software* Knowledge in script languages like Python an Matlab are desired and of products and power plant components, services and markets of industrial power plant & Combined Heat and Power solution business* Knowledge of usual standards and codes like ASME-I, ASME B31.1, ASME-VIII.3, PED, EN12952-3,4, EN13445-3, EN13480-3.* Customer focus: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to the dynamic environment* Ability to take responsibility for stress, lifetime and fatigue calculations to provide to mechanical engineers the best solutions regarding budget, quality and time* Intercultural sensitivity, in order to work in (virtual) international team* Capability to participate in cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally* Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense* Willingness for business travels with international contacts* Knowledge of materials, welding, mechanical processing and dimensioning of parts is beneficial* Fluent in English*Your responsibilities** Be part of mechanical engineering team in execution project for power plants and corresponding decarbonized and hybrid solutions* Manage and participate in execution of mechanical sub systems / components of power plant projects e.g. fuel systems, pumps, tanks and auxiliary systems* Evaluation of customer contract (specifications and requirements)* Work with 2D/3D Modeling (FEM) calculations* Performing of strength calculations, structural dynamics analyses and life assessments* Contributing to the processes of system designs* Support of our execution teams with solid mechanics competence*LET’S TALK ABOUT US*"Let’s make tomorrow different today" is our genuine commitment at *Siemens Energy* to all customers and employees on the way to a sustainable future.In our *Business Unit Generation* we offer a broad portfolio of cutting edge technologies, services and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production.*MORE INSIGHTS*Be Energized.
