Your mission
- Evolve our ReactJS-based front-end platform architecture (e.g., introducing partial hydration, micro-frontends, etc.)
- Optimize our front-end technology stack for speed without compromising developer experience
- Break-down high-level architecture decisions into a lower-level designs
- Prepare and document architectural decision by proposing and challenging architectural decision records (ADRs)
- Consult stakeholders and product owner w/r/t to technical feasibility of features, projects, or products
- Align your front-end architecture proposal with back-end architects, other divisions, and platforms
- Research, experiment, evaluate, assess and select technical standards, tools software, frameworks and new technologies, to determine which ones are the optimal choice for us
- Continuously enhance methods to ensure high code quality (= scalable, readable, well-structured, testable, and well documented)
- Design architectural blueprints and templates for developers to follow
- Design architectural blueprints and templates for developers to follow
- Communicate business requirements, criteria and needs to software development teams
- Support code reviews to ensure proper implementation of proposed architectures
- Foster a data-driven development approach by putting measures in place to track our performance
- Continuously contribute to improve our software delivery processes
- Join product test to ensure it meets architectural requirements
- Actively contribute to / facilitate knowledge sharing
- Mentor, coach and inspire developers to collaborate, evolve and contribute to our growth and evolution
What you bring to the table
- 7+ years experience as a software developer – preference is given to candidates who have worked on large-scale, complex front-end applications
- 3+ years experience with ReactJS
- Full proficiency of modern (ES6+) JavaScript with a focus on code quality and design principles
- Fully proficiency with software testing and/or experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Can-do and self-starter attitude combined with pragmatism, resilience, empathy, critical thinking, structured/data-driven working style and the willingness to make decisions
- Excellent communication skills towards both agile teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge about accessibility, security compliance and user authentication
- Familiarity with cloud CI/CD and Kubernetes environments
- Ability to manage stakeholder requirements, expectations and product/project scope
