Global Finance Business Partner - Innovation (d/f/m)
The incumbent will be responsible for driving growth of Leica from a financial perspective. She/he will establish and maintain a holistic view of the Leica portfolio, align the growth plans and support senior leadership in prioritizing the growth initiatives with clear financial and strategic analysis. She/he will represent the key link between the finance team and the commercial functions, working closely with Global Busines Units, License/OEM and R&D teams.
The incumbent will supervise and develop a team of three direct reports, including a finance manager of our newly established innovation hub in China. Reports directly to the Global FP&A Director
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and maintains a holistic top-line (funnel/order/sales) and standard margin reporting framework for Leica
- Aligns targets, tracks progress and drives actions on specific dimensions of the Leica portfolio growth (product/geo/customer segment) with relevant business counterparts
- Develops and maintains holistic ROI framework for resource utilization across commercial functions, works with Business Units, and R&D teams to prioritize investments based on ROI
- Owns pricing process at Leica
- Leads financial business case development for NPIs and owns Innovation statistics reporting
- Close working relationship with the Global finance team (CFO, Global Controlling team, rest of FP&A team) and Regional finance teams
- Oversees Operating expense budgets of BU/ Marketing/R&D
- Leads and develops a team of three direct reports
- Establishes her/himself as a trusted business leader and sparring partner with leadership teams of relevant functions
- Provides financial oversight of SMART innovation hub in Suzhou, China
OUR EXPECTATIONS
- University degree in business or finance, MBA preferred
- Several years of experience in Managerial Finance
- Solid understanding of US GAAP Accounting
- Excellent Excel knowledge. SAP, BW, PowerBI skills are a plus
- English fluent, other foreign language skills a plus
- Strong influencing skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Highly motivated, hands-on team-player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- Able to perform under pressure and comfortable within a matrix organization with flat hierarchies. Open to continuously learn
