The graduate Cyber Engineer (CE) role is a network focused dynamic and varied technical position. This is a key technical role for Darktrace, working closely with our clients, account managers and other technical teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of the Darktrace Enterprise Immune System.
Darktrace is currently expanding its technical team to accommodate a rapidly growing customer base and accelerating revenue. We are looking to hire a computer science or technology graduates with fluent English and German for a role which offers fast-paced career development, and numerous opportunities for personal advancement. You'll be provided with extensive training and support as you further your existing skills in this role.
Key responsibilities include;
- Being the technical authority on the design and implementation of the Darktrace solution
- Acting as the client's trusted advisor regarding Darktrace on the network for both pre-and post-sale deployments.
- Helping the client from initial technical contact through successful deployment
- Providing expertise and troubleshooting relating to network traffic
- Acting as a technical touch point between a client's network team, partners and the Cyber Technology Specialists
- Providing feedback and reporting to account managers on deployments
- Design and build custom client integrations and define solution architectures
- Weekly national and international travel to client sites when Covid restrictions allow

This role will suit technical graduates who have graduated with a computer science or similar degree and are looking for a challenging technical client facing role that bridges technology and the business. Aside from fluent English, you will have fluent German as you'll be predominantly assisting our German clients.
For this role you need to be tenacious, driven and have the following skill set:
- Minimum 'gut' from a leading university in a subject such as computer science,
- Understanding of following functions; TCP/IP stack, OSI Model, DHCP, DNS, Subnets, VLANs, Routers, Firewalls
- Basic network troubleshooting experience (highly desirable)
- Strong customer service skills
- Any experience with customer-facing activities (pre/post-sales) is desirable but not essential
- Fluent English and German - please apply with an English language CV
- Able to travel to client site when restrictions allow, all expenses paid
