Organizational Context

The Omnichannel Excellence & Digital department is part of the Country Business Operation & Support Organisation and is one of the key strategic functions to enable Sanofi business growth, fueling the go-to-market strategies of the GBUs (Global Business Units). This person drives efficiency and transformation across the commercial organization end-to-end: From operations to strategy.

Job purpose

The Head of Omnichannel Excellence & Digital Operations GSA (Germany, Switzerland & Austria) designs, manages and monitors all digital and omnichannel activities of the local organization. This person drives digital transformation across all GBUs through clear guidance, outstanding consultancy services and best-in-class community building approaches.

Key Accountabilities

Leading Go-to-market strategies and driving omnichannel transformation

  • Ensure alignment of senior commercial stakeholders in order to provide a consistent and efficient digital transformation framework across GBUs
  • Analyze, define and implement GBU digital strategy challenging status quo
  • Equip commercial teams with best-in class but efficient processes around digital asset management, Websites, Apps, Social Media definition and prioritization, Social Listening, CLM, eDetailing, Webinars, eCME processes etc.
  • Proactively drive the adoption and optimization of digital processes to fit new ways of working such as agile
  • Accelerate field force adoption of omnichannel capabilities through constant change management / communication
  • Create and foster a community where Omnichannel transformation activities are consequently being shared and discussed from design and implementa­tions to monitoring and constant learning and improvement

Driving Digital and Multichannel Transversal responsibilities

  • On top of the GBU focus, Lead, manage and coordinate Transversal (cross GBU) global Digital & Omnichannel strategic projects including the rollout of major global omnichannel platforms to come.

Cross Functional cooperation and Team Management

  • Fully integrated in the GBU strategies, objectives and meetings
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team (currently 12 Team Members) of digital managers and a separate BU dedicated Omnichannel Excellence Manager with their own senior manager
  • Working closely with Marketing, Sales and other transversal teams such as Digital, CRM, Market Research, Training, Medical, Legal/DPO (GDPR) and other stakeholders

Experience & Knowledge

  • University degree in Business Administration or Marketing or Natural Science areas
  • Several years of working experience on Digital Business like Digital Marketing, Content Management, UX, Digital Analytics and/or SEO/SEM among others
  • You gained experience in leading international (digital) marketing projects, preferably in Health Care Industry
  • First Team lead experience is mandatory
  • Full professional proficiency in German & English is needed
  • Very good organizational skills and a high proactivity
  • You know how to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Working experience with MS Office & video communication systems like e.g. ZOOM or similar is a requirement
  • CRM systems, Data Management, Google advertising tools and Digital Analytics are not new to you
  • Project Management skills are a plus
  • Preferably you already have practical experience with agile working methods
