Skeleton Technologies is already successfully delivering products to leading customers ranging from Škoda, Danfoss, Medcom, Wrightbus to leading German Automotives and European Space Agency. But we have achieved only 0.1% of our potential. In order to achieve the 99.9%, we are looking for an experienced Head of Cell Development who truly believes that the world needs Special Forces to fight climate change and reduce CO2 emissions.
Your first mission as part of the Special Forces will be:
- You are the main technology partner for 100 million euros plus investment to scale up ultracapacitor manufacturing in Saxony, Germany.
- Leading the next-generation ultracapacitor development which has over 2x higher energy density than any other competitors.
- Leading the Superbattery Development, which is a combination of ultracapacitors and batteries, aims that the high power segment of the battery market and serving as the main technology counterpart for leading automotive companies where we are collaborating in the framework of multibillion automotive programs.
Your main goal is to lead and organize the Cell Development team – hire, supervise, develop employees. This includes planning, coordination, and executing R&D projects in cell development and with external parties (universities, research institutions, equipment, and material suppliers) and the disciplinary responsibility of the employees.
What you'll do:
- Being responsible for the cell technology road map and executing the technology development plans in accordance with the market requirements.
- Expanding the cell development team and hiring top talents globally and enabling all of the team members to reach their full potential.
- Driving the development of our future cell mechanical cell designs and electrochemical package for reaching target power/energy performance.
- Development according to mass volume cost targets to minimize bill of materials (BOM) at a given performance target.
- Technology development for high voltage and Superbattery-based products.
- Provide support/input to sales, marketing, business development, finance (investor relations, grant application) functions.
- Provide technical analysis for the production/product-related problems.
- Feedback to the curved graphene development team for material development
- Electrochemical data analysis, organization, and presentation.
- Updating project pages and plans, communication of these updates.
- Lead the cell development until industrial handover.
