HR Manager (Ritterhude and Beeskow, Germany)
Reports to: HR & Projects Director, Northern, Central & Eastern Europe
Purpose of the job:
Lead HR function to provide effective HR support across Germany sites (Ritterhude and Beeskow).
HR Partner to VP Commercial Northern Europe,
Work with the above teams to provide a broad range of HR services in support of business objectives and HR initiatives.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Coach, mentor and support operations and functional management teams in understanding HR practices and how they affect their teams.
• Ensure HR KPI data is collected and reported on a regular basis, monitor and analyze HR KPI data and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage employee relations, including the relations with works council
• Develop and implement HR & L&D strategies in line with business objectives and continuous improvement.
• Attract and develop talent, ensuring strong succession for key roles. Coach leaders on talent management, and performance differentiation
• Lead change and drive organizational effectiveness
• Support and follow global standards but must also be able to interpret global as well local policies and practices to provide recommendations and implement improvements
• Manage data collection for Payroll (manufacturing sites only)
• Ensure that HR initiatives are communicated and implemented in the timely manner
Management responsibility:
• Line management of HR Officer and HR Apprentice
• Gives direction and coaching to operations and functional managers in the application of HR policies and best practice, across 2 manufacturing sites (c. 350 employees) and business partner commercial team predominantly based in Netherlands (c 35 employees)
Functional knowledge and technical skills within own and other areas:
• Strong experience of working with the work councils
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities & navigate a functional, matrixed environment
• Demonstrated HR business partner skills
• Demonstration of ability to positively influence others, particularly leadership development and coaching.
• Strong business sense and acumen.
• Experience with and working knowledge of HR laws, practices, policies and models
• Basic understanding of Payroll
Educational requirements/qualifications and experience:
• Batchelor’s degree
• Min 2 years HRM experience is preferable
• People management experience
