Job-Beschreibung und Hinweise für International Graduate Program (IGP) – Supply Chain Management (f/m/div)*

Are you ready to start your career in a fast-moving, future-oriented environment? The International Graduate Program (IGP) at Infineon gives you full insight into how we come up with innovations. Our products enable self-driving cars, help save tons of CO2, and allow contactless (and secure!) credit card payments. Joining the IGP will give you the big picture of Infineon: Over the course of 18 months, you have at least three different assignments – one of them abroad. By working in different departments, you can get an idea of what suits you best. From the beginning, you’ll have a chance to roll up your sleeves and take on challenging tasks. Besides that, you have the opportunity to build strong global relationships across sites, functions and departments, and to meet the global IGP community face to face and at virtual conferences. And if that isn’t enough, you’ll have permanent employee status from the start.

Responsibilities

As an IGP Supply Chain Management Trainee you will work on your own projects and get in depth-knowledge into the supply chain management and operative tasks. Within the different assignments, projects and classroom trainings you will build many of the strengths we rely on from leaders in our organizations.

Your program consists of the following elements:
  • At the Munich Headquarters, you will manage customer logistics for an Infineon account
  • International assignment either in Asia or the United States- of 4-8 months covering the different areas of our global supply chain (i.e. Logistics, Customer Logistics Management, Planning etc.) in order to build up your own network
  • Responsibility for planning and invest decision preparation for a major technology line
  • Analyzing Supply Chain delinquencies and taking corrective actions
  • Planning and implementing new warehouse concepts and/or shipping concepts
  • Discrete event-based and agent-based simulation of the whole supply chain or important segments
  • Designing and implementing Flexibility concepts on supply chain level
  • Supporting or leading major supply chain projects (like implementing new Supply Chain tools or logistics concepts)
  • Factory Integration tasks and/or projects

Your Profile

You are curious and interested in a broad range of topics and always try to get new insights and ideas. You don’t expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter. You question existing assumptions and love change – which is guaranteed in the semiconductor industry. You are pragmatic and analytic, because we need both at Infineon. Standing still is not your thing. You find inspiration in working with different kinds of people, collaborating with your colleagues on the big picture.

Plus, you fulfill the following qualifications:
  • A degree in Engineering, Science or Business related studies
  • Already gained some practical supply chain experience e.g. through internships during your studies
  • An affinity for technology as well as high commitment and willingness to pursue desirable goals
  • Ideally gained a first working experience abroad
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and in the best case also have a first SAP experience
  • Fluent in English with good communication and presentation skills, German is a plus

And you fully agree with these statements:
  • I am an ambitious and open-minded person who loves to get to know new people and learn about new topics
  • When I think about moving to another country for at least three months, I want to start packing my bags
  • I like to work in teams that are very diverse and in which everyone speaks English
  • I can’t wait to present a concept to team and managers – and I don’t mind doing it in English
  • My friends describe me as “highly independent and self-motivated team player
