Job Purpose/Role
The IT Economics Manager is in charge of AGCS IT Financial Management globally, assuming responsibility of IT Budget and development of IT Costs on behalf of the CIO with the aim to achieve a competitive IT Cost Ratio.
He/she is in charge of holistically and globally driving improvement and simplification of policies and processes of IT Financial Management in alignment with all stakeholders, as well as of continuously identifying and driving productivity and cost reduction measures.
In this role you will…
• Define with CIO and COO the overall global strategy and direction of IT costs and the key levers to influence and KPIs to steer. In cooperation with Financial Controlling and Reporting translate this strategy into yearly IT Budgets.
• Review existing processes and tools, identify improvements for simplification, transparency and clear responsibilities. Where appropriate align with Financial Controlling and Reporting and Lean Portfolio Management. Drive implementation.
• In order to achieve the overall IT Cost targets work with IT Management to identify and implement productivity and cost reduction measures. Continuously monitor and report the implementation and impact on cost development.
• Define and implement holistic financial steering mechanisms with the help of SLAs, KPIs and benchmarks to manage a captive provider in Change and Run services.
• Work with Financial Controlling and Reporting to produce regular Comprehensive Financial Reporting of IT Costs (IT Group Reporting) and the monthly Financial Reports.
• Design and produce further financial and non-financial KPIs to steer IT Costs and productivity.
• In cooperation with Financial Controlling and Reporting review and adjust charging and cost allocation mechanisms to business units in order to create transparency and incentives to use IT services wisely.
You will have…
• At least 8 - 10 years of experience in IT and IT Financial Management
• Experience and Knowledge in IT Financial Management or IT Management with strong financial or controlling context.
• Good Accounting Knowledge
• Strong communication skills from working level to C-level
• Strong analytical capability to work in a highly complex technical and organisational environment combined with a call to action.
• Strong ability to create productive working relationships across departments on a peer-to-peer level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Financial Services / Insurance background and/or having worked in a large-scale outsourcing context are of benefit.
