About the Role:
The Compliance Analyst is part of the Legal and Compliance Department and reports to the Compliance Manager. Monitors legal and regulatory initiatives and adopted changes affecting Company in all states of operation, analyses their potential impact(s) on the Company and communicates regularly with the Compliance Manager and Head of Legal regarding the same. Provides general legal and compliance support to Company staff.
- Assist in responding to data subject access requests with our Data and Compliance teams;
- Responding to data privacy and compliance questionnaires from internal and external parties including RFP’s;
- Conducting due diligence on key third party vendors and partners;
- Conducting research on legal and compliance topics;
- Drafting legal/compliance template documents for Cognism (including marketing materials, reports, compliance analysis);
- Assisting in ensuring Cognism's compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC2 standards and audit requirements;
- Ensuring that all Cognism employees are educated and upskilled on the latest regulations and processes, through a structured programme of training and internal communication;
- Preparing all necessary legal and compliance documentation and filing this accordingly;
- Onboarding and offboarding employees; and
- Assisting the legal and compliance team with day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 or 2 years+ experience in a compliance role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and problem-solving skills
- Keen to hit the ground running
Desirable
- Knowledge on data privacy and information security standards (including GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, SOC2)
- Compliance or legal background however, a business background with knowledge of GDPR is welcome
- Experience working in a technology company/start up
