The Bundesliga is one of the world’s most successful sports leagues being a social institution in Germany since 1963 with brand awareness levels of 99% and millions of enthusiastic fans all around the world.

The main task of DFL Digital Sports GmbH is the production of media content in order to promote the Bundesliga brand internationally. Based in Cologne, the DFL Digital Sports GmbH produces and publishes media content via a variety of digital platforms. This includes production of content for international markets and the implementation of the league’s own platforms.

For our team in Cologne, Germany we are looking for a

(Junior) Tracking Specialist (m/w/d)

Here’s what’s waiting for you on the pitch:

  • You design and develop our analysis and tracking concepts and implement the tracking together with our internal development teams and external agencies.
  • You proactively ensure that data collection is standardized and continuously optimized and that the data collected meets the highest quality and data protection standards.
  • You support our product owners in the analysis of user behavior & in-depth fan insights and support your colleagues in developing dashboards.
  • You take care of topics such as the introduction of a customer data platform & integration, consent optimization and A/B testing.
  • Hence, you will be the central contact for creating the basis for further developing our digital products based on data.

Here’s what should be in your sports bag:

  • You have a degree in computer science, business administration, marketing, media management or a comparable education; lateral entrants / career changers are encouraged to hand in their application(s), too.
  • You have initial professional experience in the field of tracking, analytics or online marketing.
  • You are familiar with data layer specifications, as well as their implementation and processing.
  • You have practical experience with common analytics tools, ideally Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Matomo, optionally Adobe Ana-lytics, Piwik PRO, PostHog, or similar analytics and tag manager tools.
  • You have very good knowledge of spoken and written English and German.
