As a Legal Counsel at Allergan Aesthetics you will have the opportunity to get deep insights into the pharmaceutical business. Depending on skills and preferences as well as current business priorities, this may consist of contract negotiations with R&D collaboration partners, the resolution of disputes with long-term service providers in our operations business as well as the strategic advice on innovative commercial projects and initiatives created in our brand teams.

The legal support pertains to business activities, and manages local legal matters, including involvement of external counsels. The Legal Counsel provides general legal advice to business and commercial operations, including but not limited to healthcare compliance laws and regulations, advertising laws, corporate, labour, civil and competition laws

Key Accountabilities

• Support and assist day to day business operations
• Interact with Business (Sales, Marketing) and Enabling Functions (QA, HR, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, OEC/Compliance) and Senior and Executive Management
• Provide proactive legal advice in all areas of law and regulation, with prioritization on German goals and objectives
• Draft a various range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to the supply marketing and commercialization
• Advice on commercial policies and competition law related matters, as needed
• Assist on litigation matters and support business on commercial claims and disputes with competitors and/or other third parties, with specific regards to the advertising and promotion of products

Qualifications

Desired Areas of expertise:

• Commercial & contract law (national and cross-border contracts)
• National and EU competition law
• Pharmaceutical Advertising law (HWG)
• Pharmaceutical Regulatory law (AMG)
• Litigation practice and procedure
• Business acumen to provide strategic advice
• Intellectual Property (MarkenG, UWG)

Experience & Education Requirements:

• 1st and 2nd German State Exam in Law required; LL.M. or MBA are a plus
• Min. 2 years of relevant professional experience or pharma-specific academic qualifications
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but we welcome anyone who brings passion and motivation
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complexity
