The candidate will work on innovative projects on chronic lung diseases using state-of-the-art technologies such as single cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics.  The researcher will be embedded in a close collaboration between Hannover Medical School, the German Center for Lung Research and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine. Your tasksImplementation, development and extension of methods for single cell RNAseq and spatial transcriptomics processing and analysis.Collaboration on the generation of single-cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics databiological interpretation of the dataDevelopment of scientific web toolsWriting of scientific papers Our requirementsOpenness towards cutting-edge technologies, establishment of new technologies and computational approachesInterest in biological/respiratory research questions and applicationsPassion for science and scientific workGood knowledge of R/Python and LinuxExperience with computational work on high performance clustersGood spoken and written EnglishWe offerThree-year Ph.D. position.
