Our team is responsible for the software that implements Infineon’s R&D-to-Production (Tapeout-to-Mask) process. The key components are a streaming platform built upon Apache Kafka and a powerful C++/Qt application that integrates most of the functions to efficiently create mask data. We constantly improve the efficiency of the Tapout-to-Mask process through enhancement of our software and optimize our software development methodology. Having provided the users with a modern Tapeout-to-Mask platform and highly capable tools, we are looking for skilled and creative colleagues to make another substantial step in increasing efficiency through building a highly integrated and yet flexible Tapeout-to-Mask software environment. Responsibilities
In your new role you will:
- Develop core software applications at the interface between Infineon R&D and Production. Your focus will be on a C++/Qt application to compose mask data from a variety of information sources
- Be responsible of user story analysis, implementation, test and integration
- Communicate regularly with application users to capture requirements and specify features
- Apply agile software development methods like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Kanban and Scrum
- Work closely with other experts in the team
Your Profile
You have a structured and analytical way of thinking. Furthermore, you develop ideas and translate them into solution concepts. You have good communication skills, so you can encourage your colleagues and advise them in order to produce the best results for the organization. In summery, you pay attention to details but never lose sight of the big picture.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or in a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in software development on Linux/Unix; ideally experience in the semiconductor industry
- Deep know-how required in C++ and the Qt framework, as well as in object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD), design patterns, and clean coding techniques
- Good know-how desirable in Python or Ruby
- Experience in agile software development methods (CI/CD, TDD, Kanban, Scrum) and tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, CMake, Conan, Bitbucket, JIRA)
- Interest in learning about the Layout-to-Mask domain and the business processes between R&D and production
- Fluent in English; willingness to learn German is a plus
