The Company
A leading developer and operator of utility scale renewable energy projects. Further expansion within Europe on a multi-GW+ pipeline has created the opportunity for a Procurement Manager to support the development, Construction and operation of a pipeline of Renewable Energy projects within Europe.
The Role
As Procurement Manager some of your duties will be to:
- Develop relationships with key suppliers of Solar Modules, Inverters and trackers, utilising your existing network.
- Manage tenders for the evaluation and selection of suppliers, subcontractors and consultants needed for the construction of ground mounted PV plants in Europe.
- Lead negotiations with PV component suppliers, complete price agreements and implement framework agreements.
- Ensure supply needs are met of the vital components.
- Lead interface with other offices worldwide and contributing to the development of the centre of excellence.
- Develop and implement processes and structures in Procurement & Supply Chain Management.
- Lead contract negotiation and contract management.
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, a relevant field such as sales or renewables.
- 3+ years’ experience working as procurement manager or supply chain manager within the Solar PV industry.
- A strong existing network and established relationships within the Solar PVindustry with knowledge of component supply for Solar PV Modules, Inverters and trackers/ mounting systems.
- Defined knowledge of solar PV products, able to solve problems and negotiate price and availability.
- Speaks English to a business standard any other languages are advantageous.
The progression opportunity within the company is huge. With progress reviewed constantly there is plenty of room for promotions. There is a real opportunity to take on a head of procurement role in 2-3 years.
