Job Title: Indirect Procurement Manager

Job Location: Dusseldorf, Germany


About the Role:

As the business has been continually growing, we are now currently looking for a procurement manager for indirect business to support our category management and procurement practice across 11 countries in Western Europe region. You will be the key person to plan, contribute and allocate procurement solutions to ensure high business efficiency. The role might involve business trips occasionally within Europe.


Apart from experienced procurement experts, we also take notice of those enthusiastic individuals who’re determined in the career for procurement and are willing to grow within Huawei.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for category procurement across 11 countries in Western Europe region
  • Provide strategic procurement solutions to meet business requirements
  • Ensure procurement business compliance is well followed in the practice
  • Ensure requirements and key targets from HQ and Western Europe Regional office are met
  • Optimize the procurement system process to improve business efficiency.
  • Execute HQ and Western Europe strategies with effective solutions based on various circumstances of different countries.
  • Supplier control: strategic negotiation, specialize in supplier management in sourcing, examining, qualification, performance analysis etc.
  • Identify lessons learnt from business case and ensure these contribute the growth of the team


Core Competence Skills:


  • Ideally, 3-5 years work experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor management etc.
  • Ideally, Bachelor degree in business, economics, logistics, supply chain and other related area
  • A good level of understanding about Facility management, Real Estate business, vehicle renting business etc.
  • A good level of understanding about Budget control, Project Management, Process Control, Quality control and other relevant business areas.
  • Understand procurement sourcing rules and channels, with effective methodology to source quality products and services to meet our business needs.
  • Familiar with supplier selection methods: i.e. bidding, negotiation, price comparison etc.
  • Familiar with procurement process, rules and regulations
  • Understand legitimate regulation and compliance standards in Western Europe regions (i.e. anti-corruption law)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, which include ability to instruct, negotiate, manage suppliers and vendors to meet our business needs
  • A dynamic team player that’s able to work under pressure, with a can-do attitude
  • Articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory (Other languages i.e. Chinese/German is highly appreciating)
