In the Global Quality Assurance Laboratory based in Trier are two open positions as Quality Assurance Laboratory Specialist (m/f/d) within the Method Development/Special projects group to fill.

Your responsibilities:

• Development/improvement of analytical methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, MS, NIR) for the chemical and physical testing of tobacco products and non-tobacco materials
• Method validation, verification and documentation according to ISO 17025 and FDA requirements (GMP)
• Qualification of new Quality Measuring Equipment (QME) including test design, analysis, statistical evaluation and reporting to customers
• Training and technical guidance of laboratory technicians
• Maintenance and support of Laboratory Information System (LIMS)
• Execution of product development testing for internal R&D customers
• Coordination of internal and external (supplier) collaborative studies

Your profile:

• University degree in a scientific or a technical field, e.g. chemical, physical or environmental engineering, food technology or comparable education
• Several years of work experience is of advantage
• Very good knowledge and practical experience in analytical methods (e.g. HPLC; GC; MS)
• Knowledge of ISO management systems (e.g. ISO 9001; ISO 17025)
• Knowledge in applied statistics
• Knowledge in GMP is desirable
• Very good communication skills and team spirit
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Practical experience of database applications (e.g. LIMS)
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
