The R&D Engineer (m/f/d) contributes to the development of Ansys Closed-loop simulation application, like foundation module, enhance Driving Simulator for the need of the mass simulation. In this role, the R&D Engineer will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives.The working mode is Agile Scrum.
The work is challenging and involve daily communication with customer (OEM) and Ansys colleagues.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs basic development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems
- Learns and employs best practices
- Performs basic bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions
- Utilizes methods/technics to deep dive into the code to find the root cause
- Understanding of customer requirements with help of senior engineer and supports the implementation
- Works under the close supervision of a development manager
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Reasonable skills in software programming in C++
- Proficient of source code control techniques like Git
- Familiar with Linux as software development environment
- Awareness of software development lifecycle
- Good team player
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred to have modern C++ (11, 14)
- Working knowledge of C# and Python
- Knowledge of docker, Cloud development environment
- Knowledge of simulation or automotive domain is a huge plus
- Software developing environment as Windows
- Scripting languages
- Clean code practices, Software Design Pattern
- Basic understanding of the software development process
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
- Transparency in reporting to manager
- French and/or German speaking
