We find a roof over everyone's head - from offices to laboratories to industrial sites, we look after our sites worldwide in the Global Real Estate department. We are responsible for BASF's real estate management and ensure optimal use of the portfolio with our real estate services. International and national real estate initiatives as well as the purchase and sale of real estate are part of our work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Become part of our new team that offers excellent services in the field of real estate management. You will lead a team of real estate and facility management specialists in our Hub in Berlin and coordinate BASF's facility management community in EMEA.
- You will take responsibility for the asset and strategic facility management of BASF's real estate assets in EMEA region as well as its German Real Estate SPVs.
- Furthermore, you will prepare real estate specific strategies and be responsible for budgeting and budget compliance of project, product and service cost centers as well as quality and value management.
- You will be responsible for managing CAPEX projects as well as for the operation of the assets, including leasing process and on-going service provider management.
- In the context of contract negotiations and tenant management, you will take the lead in negotiating property-specific contracts (e.g. purchase, rental, lease agreements; service and service level agreements) and ensure appropriate tenant management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- degree in Engineering, Economics, Real Estate or comparable, ideally additional real estate specific training
- several years of professional experience and a good understanding in legal and commercial real estate matters, preferably in an international context
- excellent knowledge of asset management in a corporate real estate environment as well as know-how regarding regulations, reporting and industry drivers
- experience in managing and leading projects including an analytical and strategic mindset as well as a collaborative leadership style
- high level of customer orientation and ability to communicate complex issues to stakeholders within BASF in a convincing manner as well as to build stable relationships
- excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English; other language skills are a plus
- willingness to travel extensively
