CDMO Business Development / Sales Manager - Munich (home office)
CM LifeScience are exclusively partnered with a fast-growing CDMO.
We are seeking a determined and ambitious individual to implement growth strategy and significantly expand the company to become a global market leader in pharmaceutical contract manufacturing within the next 5 years. The team is lean and ambitious and are looking for an individual to take responsibility from day one. Closely working with senior management and marketing you will be fully involved in the day-to-day operations. Due to the small team size, you will get flexible insights into other areas as well - if desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquisition of new customers starting with business analysis, assessment of customer potential and match to company strategy
- Manage the business with existing customers, aiming at increasing share of wallet
- Manage the sales & offer process engaging with relevant stakeholders (e.g. customer, customer service, technical colleagues at the sites, …)
- Manage contract negotiations (manufacturing supply agreements) with Customers under alignment with sales leadership and site stakeholders
- Lead the customer relationship from lead generation through project support to post order activities
- Development of customer-specific sales action plans in line with marketing initiatives
- Issue offers, set prices, and create a target customer strategy
- Identification of market potentials as well as observation and analysis of the market and the competition
- Active participation in trade fairs (e.g. CPhI)
- Home office, willing to travel 50% of time
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in B2B sales for pharma CDMO, having managed a portfolio of customers of minimum €30 million.
- Track records of generation annual pipeline above € 5 million.
- Experience in finished dosage CDMO for small molecules, previous experience in technical operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Good interpersonal attitude, team-worker, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand financial analytics, self-starter.
- Previous experience with CRM software.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, and common software tools used in marketing.
- Fluent in German and English, other languages are a plus.
