Job Summary
We are looking for a fluent German speaking Sales & Marketing Executive to join Cara’s busy team, working either from our office in East Croydon, Greater London for candidates currently based in the UK or from home for any candidates based in Germany. There will be regular travel within Europe as well as to the Caribbean & Mexico as part of the role. You will work alongside and provide support to our Sales & Marketing Manager responsible for German speaking markets, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe – and be part of a young and energetic team. Representing Cara’s main client, AMR Collection, this role is primarily focussed on developing and maintaining strong working relationships with our travel trade partners to increase distribution, sales and market share for AMR Collection’s’ six unique brands and 60+ resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico & Latin America. Taking a pro-active and results-driven approach, this role involves sourcing and securing the best possible sales and marketing opportunities in response to client performance in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Key Responsibilities
- Account management of a defined list of German, Swiss, Austrian, Scandinavian and E. European tour operator partners. Proactive and on-going relationship management in order to source all relevant sales and marketing opportunities
- Coordinating and attending regular sales trips and tour operator account meetings.
- Obtaining, analysing and communicating regular account sales performance updates.
- Checking and updating product content on tour operator and OTA webpages.
- Analysing and interpreting monthly client statistical reporting, in order to be fully aware of each key tour operator account’s performance and to proactively implement recovery strategies and activities where necessary.
- On-going maintenance of internal company databases to ensure up-to-date and accurate content relating to tour operator accounts (including product placement information).
- Day-to-day account queries to include client product or service queries, complaints, VIP stays and FAM trip accommodation/site inspection requests.
- Regular attendance of travel trade, consumer and media shows/events, with occasional evening and weekend participation required.
- Occasionally hosting FAM trips abroad in order to showcase AMR Collection products and services to tour operator and travel agency partners.
- Creating and presenting training presentations to industry partners in Scandinavia & Eastern Europe, and to support the German-based Business Development Team as and when required.
Person Profile
- Fluency in both German and English is essential.
- Any UK based candidate must hold either a UK passport or have settled status in order to be legally allowed to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
