The Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Pharma, Chemistry, Environmental, Food, Energy, Life Sciences, and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in R&D, Quality Inspection, and Upscaling & Production Processes, where customers put a premium on accuracy, robustness, reliability and ease of use. MSD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

Sales Representative Materials Characterization, Rheology & Extrusion (m/f/d)
South Germany & Austria, Home Office based
How you will make an impact
Within our Materials Characterization DACH team we are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative as a pro-active territory manager in Southern Germany and Austria.
What you will do
- Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal
- Conduct and support product presentations and test measurements at our customers sites, Thermo Fisher labs, or online
- Actively manage your funnel of sales opportunities by CRM compliance and sales forecast calls
- Own the sales process from pre- to after-sales support and build strong, long term relationships with your customers
- Participate on trade fairs, workshops, and related events
- Report market trends and customer requirements into the organization
How you will get here
Education
- Bachelor or university degree in chemistry, physics, or related field
Experience
- Working experience in industrial B2B field sales is highly desired
- Alternatively working experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industry or laboratory equipment business
- Additional experiences with SFDC are an asset
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- In depth knowledge of Materials Sciences, preferably with Rheology and/or Extrusion techniques
- Excellent interpersonal communication both written and oral in German language
- Ability to work optimally with customers and colleagues in a challenging and demanding market
- Customer focus, intercultural competence, and a professional attitude
- Pro-active attitude and hands on mentality
- Fluent in business English
- Willingness to travel (appr. 25 to 50%)
- Valid driver's license
