Your contribution to KPMG
- Be part of and gain experience in a variety of different strategy projects within the core areas “Strategy in Deals” and “Strategy beyond Deals”:
Strategy in Deals
- Separation advisory: End-to-end vendor assistance from strategy setting, pre-signing due diligence, to post-closing separation support
- Integration advisory: Advise along the entire integration journey from buy-side due diligence assistance to Day 1/100 integration execution support
- Commercial due diligence: Conduct an analysis of the potential target's market environment and competitive position and their impact on the target's business plan
Strategy beyond Deals
- Independent business plan valuation: Comprehensive and diligent business plan for financing seeking purposes
- Growth strategy & market entry: Support in developing and operationalizing strategy to meet financial ambitions and create sustainable competitive advantage
- Strategic transformation: From developing corporate strategies through execution plans to actual implementation creating value and sustained return on investment
Propositions offered in and beyond deal context
- Value creation: Identifying and delivering EBITDA improvement and synergy opportunities
- ESG services: Support in understanding sustainability fundamentals and the definition of a sustainability strategy. Complemented by ESG due diligence in the deal context
- Interact with various client and deal stakeholders through interviews, on-site meetings and workshops
- Provide high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines
- Contribute to the growth of our team in Switzerland by supporting client proposals, sector initiatives and other business development activities
This is what makes you successful
- Bachelor or Master in business, finance, natural sciences, economics, IT or industrial engineering
- First experience (e.g. as Intern or Working Student) in strategy consulting, corporate development or M&A
- Strong analytical and (quantitative) problem-solving skills with a high degree of mental flexibility, being able to manage different operational, financial, and strategic topics
- Ability to work under pressure, engage with top management stakeholders and adhere to tight deadlines
- Team-player who embraces challenges in an ever-changing environment and takes initiatives
- International exposure, willingness to travel within Switzerland and abroad
- Open minded with excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English, other languages are an advantage (especially German, French, Italian)
