We are looking for YOU as Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d) in the Division Product Engineering.
YOUR TASKS
As a Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d) you are part of the Data Science Team and develop Data Science Models for the business units:
- You develop statistical and predictive models by using the Big Data analytics platform of vent.io
- You take ownership of the End-to-End technical development
- You keep a close eye on the End-to-End process and on the outcome desired by the Product Owner, in order to meet the defined quality standards and steer the team’s work in the right direction
- You support the Data Science Product Manager in defining the use case roadmap
- You can present your work in a precise and simple manner and in this way you support the Data Science Product Manager in disseminating the results effectively
- As Senior Data Scientist you act proactively and can design generic components for recurring activities in the data science team
- In close collaboration with the Data Engineers, you provide valuable input and ideas for developing the Big Data analytics platform of vent.io further
- You scout the market for data science solutions, tools and technologies and support their incorporation into the data science workflow
- You actively enhance the data science development workflow according to new business needs
- You are enthusiastic about participating in meetup and external conferences for disseminating the successes of the team
YOUR SKILLS
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics or another quantitative field
- At least 4 years of experience as Data Scientist in an enterprise environment, ideally in the financial sector
- Proven track record in the operationalization of predictive models and the definition of success criteria before as well as after the development of the model
- Very good programming skills in Python and/or Scala
- Proficient use of SQL or SQL-like query languages
- First professional or academic experience with data processing frameworks like Spark or Flink
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- You have good analytical skills and you can split a complex problem down to its individual parts
- Team work is not alien to you and you like working together with highly-skilled engineers and scientists
- You bring perseverance and constructive assertiveness
- You can speak English fluently and ideally have basic conversations in German
