Responsibilities
In your new role you will:
- Support the PCB design community in the usage of the PCB design flow
- Contribute to the development of standard practices, guidelines and utilities to reduce design cycle time and improve PCB design efficiencies
- Provide ongoing library support engaging with external and internal library groups
- Work together with hardware engineers, PCB designers and fabricators for development and sustaining of actual products
- Keep-up with and know industry standards and technologies
In this job within the PCB engineering methodology and services team you will be responsible for the first level support for software tools providing technical advices to the PCB designers. Feedback suggestions to the technical leaders being the key interface to projects at Infineon. You will help the colleagues to find the best solution as well as exploring new processes and methodology with focus on improving the efficiency of the PCB design flow: this includes the design software, the component library, the standard templates and several reports. You will also actively participate in the development of new products, working closely with electrical engineering and systems development teams.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A university / university of applied sciences degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or comparable
- Expertise to define, establish and maintain corporate E-CAD solutions for PCB design
- Familiarity with PCB components library management and board revision is an added value
- Experience with state of the art PCB design tools and methodology (Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro PCB Editor)
- Knowledge in EDA (electronic design automation) tool environment and setup
- Allegro SKILL and Python scripting would be an added advantage
- Proficiency with high-speed board designs and layouts
- Experience with high density ball-grid array's (BGA), blind and buried via's
- Familiarity with all phases of hardware development including: schematic entry, manually generated constraints, requirements of the constraints and board layout
- Excellent communications skills in English with German skills as a plus
We are filling this position through one of our leasing partners. A valid work permit for Austria or EU citizenship is a prerequisite for this position. This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2022.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
