For any kind of corporate transaction, be it acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures or other M&A projects, you will be instrumental in determining the value for Infineon. Based on financial modelling, you will liaise with internal experts and investment banks to support the Head of PMA (Pension Asset Management and M&A Valuations), the Group Treasurer and the CFO.
Responsibilities
In your new role you will:
- Build the valuation models to establish transaction prices for acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and other M&A activities within the group, from start-up acquisitions to industry shaping transactions
- Apply various valuation approaches as appropriate given the specific target, discounted cash flow (DCF) models being the most prominent one, and perform scenario analyses
- Summarize and present your conclusions in a concise and convincing manner
- Work closely with internal stakeholders in the business divisions, operations and central functions to analyze and, where applicable, challenge business plans which are the inputs for the valuation model
- Participate in due diligence processes to derive valuation relevant information and potentially support due diligence teams in a “Project Office” role

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in business administration (Master, MBA) or comparable
- At least 6 years of work experience with a strong quantitative aspect, ideally in M&A related areas (Big 4, banking, management consulting, private equity etc.)
- Hands on experience with financial modelling (Excel) are well able to build a consistent model tailored to a specific transaction from scratch
- A good understanding of the interplay between legal, tax, accounting and treasury laws, rules, regulations and procedures along with their impact on value
- Familiarity with Semiconductor industry and/or technology and/or physics and/or materials’ sciences would be a plus
- Knowledge of asset management principles and experience with simulation tools (e.g. @Risk) as a plus
- Excellent English skills, Fluent German would be a big advantage
