In this job you will:
- Lead product development projects with significant complexity, high ambition, large reach and noticeable impact for Infineon’s CSS business segment
- Actively manage your key stakeholders in an international environment; this regularly involves negotiating as well as convincing others to identify the optimum trade-off for the projects
- Manage and control the entire project life-cycle and ensure hand-over to sustaining function as the main point of contact for all project related questions
- Form, guide and motivate diverse, cross-functional project teams
- Maintain the overview and understanding of technical interdependencies to proactively identify most complex challenges, leading others to think also beyond existing solutions to solve them
- Conduct a forward-looking risk management in close cooperation with your stakeholders
- Assume full responsibility for your projects by continuously assessing progress and adjusting the project plan within the given boundary conditions; this also involves anticipating and proactively managing significant changes to the existing project agreement
- Manage and control projects at any stage of project life cycle in compliance with internal rules and regulations
- Balance the product roadmap pipeline by maintaining a project pipeline analysis for resource/skills planning and financial forecast (including material)
- Contribute to the project management ecosystem to optimize execution excellence (processes, methodologies, etc.)
Your Profile
As a Project Manager you deal with interesting projects and products. That offers a lot of scope for action, both from a management and a technical perspective. You keep track of your project and always have the big picture in mind. As you accompany a product along the entire development cycle, you always think at least one step ahead. In addition, you have strong organizational and communication skills. This helps you breaking down complex issues and negotiate with middle and upper management. As the corporate culture and atmosphere in the teams are fostering informal exchange, it helps to be an excellent communicator.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A university degree (Msc.) in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or related studies combined with a good technical understanding
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the field of semiconductor products, including 5 years of experience in leading projects and project teams; line management experience is of advantage
- In-depth project management knowledge in the area of system development in terms of project initiation, planning and closing including reporting and documentation
- Experience in system development with components like analog mixed signal ICs, embedded firmware, host software, chip packages, evaluation boards, customer documentation and security certification schemes
Knowledge of chip development flows, silicon production processes, software development processes including agile methods and system integration and validation according to the V-model as a plus- Experience as project manager with managing complex and crisis situations, consolidation of conflicts and presentation to senior management as well as direct communication to challenging customers
- A project management certification (ideally IPMA Level C) as a strong plus
- Excellent English skills, German skills are a plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
