For the division Quality located in Kaiserslautern we are looking for a
Senior Quality Manager (m/f/d)Your responsibilities:
- You plan, implement, certify and manage an effective Quality Assurance Program using AS / EN 9100 principles, including the management of the Quality Management System
- You make sure that the Quality Management System complies EASA regulatory guidelines and customer requirements
- You compile documentation and co-ordination activities for Customer First Article Inspections
- You direct and manage the daily activities of all quality and certifying staff with overall quality responsibilities for incoming-, work-in-progress- and outgoing-material and -processes
- You are responsible for and execute the final part inspection, according to customer and regulatory requirements / specifications; and you take care of the documentation of conformity reports and EASA form 1 requirements
- You support the production and create quality KPIs within the Quality department as well as between departments
- You lead and continuously improve processes in all quality operational aspects
- You make sure that the division is properly prepared for internal, customer, and / or third-party audits and that audits are properly managed
- You monitor the departmental status in deliverables to the companies APQP-gated process and program milestones regarding quality
- You identify training needs; you plan the trainings and carry them out
- You review supplier performances and engage suppliers for risk mitigation, corrective action plans and improved performance requirements
- You assist various departments with problem solving tools and manage and oversee the company's corrective and preventive action processes as well as their effectiveness
- You work together with the supply chain department on supplier related issues
- You maintain a good customer communication and relationships; you strive to meet or exceed customer satisfaction expectations
- Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested
Your qualification:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, QM Systems or equivalent experience
- Min. 5 years of working experience in the aviation industry, of which min. 3 years on quality related activities in a development and / or production environment
- Experience with Production Organizational Approval (POA) - Part 21G is preferred
- Certifying Staff qualification is preferred
- Trained and experienced in auditing, capable of training, leading or directing an audit team in accordance to AS9100
- Application of QMS tools and techniques (APQP, FMEA, Inspection planning, SPC, DOE, QFD)
- Distinct communicative competence, good analytical skills and leading qualities
- Strong command of English and German
- Ability to take actions and decisions in a timely manner
- Knowledge of various computer applications such as MS Office and / or data analysis software such as Minitab)
