(Senior) Tax Manager (m/f/d) Real Estate Investments
Job Purpose / Role
As part of the ARE Tax team in Munich you will be responsible for tax due diligence and tax structuring of real estate transactions during all stages of the investment in strong collaboration with internal and external tax experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership for all transactions related tax matters in connection with Real Estate transactions worldwide
- Structuring, coordination and execution of real estate acquisitions and disinvestments (direct and indirect equity transactions) especially via international multi-tier structures and platforms (in particular review of due diligence materials reports and tax opinions)
- Negotiate tax related clauses in SPAs, JVAs, subscriptions documents etc.
- Responsibility for respective post deal integration, restructurings and compliance topics during the Holding phase
Key Requirements / Skills / Experience
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in corporate and international tax law with a focus on real estate transactions, especially related to German cross border transactions
- Insurance knowledge and/or fund structuring experience is a plus
- Effective communication with different stakeholders
- Tax University degree (in Business Administration / Finance) and/ or fully qualified lawyer and /or (German) tax adviser
- Very good command of English and German
- Deep understanding of tax due diligence aspects and tax structuring knowledge
- Understanding of IRR modelling
- Solution oriented behavior for complex tasks/processes combined with hands-on mentality
- Sound project managements and cultural skills in an international environment
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
