The Challenge
Responsible manager for E.ON's digital sales business in the B2C segment, including power, gas, e-mobility, solar, heating & smart control. Leading the change into the digital world with highly complex and heterogenous issues to manage and to push.
Accountable for the delivery on substantial growth targets in volume (sales) and value (margin) for our biggest sales channel Online including eon.de (website), customer self-care portal, switching portals, e-retailers and affiliate partners in a highly volatile market with daily steering requirements.
Driving E.ONs digital sales transformation by setting strategic guidelines and seeking for E2E optimization in close collaboration with Product & Pricing, Digital Technology, Digital Analytics, Marketing, Digital Service as well as tech vendors (e.g. Adobe, Google)
Leading, developing and inspiring a strong digital leadership team consisting of 3 departments/ approx. 40 internal experts & 5 external FTEs
Accountable for developing and executing E.ON's B2C performance marketing strategy and steering; responsible for managing and optimizing E.ON’s paid media channels (i.e. Search Engine Advertising, Display, Programmatic, Affiliates, Switching Portals) supported by external digital marketing agencies. Highly complex tasks in a fast changing and evolving technology environment.
Create inspiring digital customer experiences driving E.ON's data-driven personalization strategy in strong collaboration with the Customer Experience, Digital Analytics, Marketing & New Solutions teams; thereby high impact on strategic NPS and customer perception of E.ON as innovation leader in our industry.
Growing organic traffic on eon.de; developing and executing E.ON’s portal and SEO strategy together with Product Management and Brand
Trend scouting and innovation management including the identification, evaluation, testing and implementation of new digital sales channels.
Responsible for the management and contract negations with switching portals and media agencies. High number of external and internal interfaces, managing and balancing different opinions, strategies and goal conflicts
Chapter and consulting function towards the Squads within E.ON’s Activation & Retention Room
Active member of the Activation & Retention Room including additional sponsoring and project lead tasks in the overarching environment
Taking leadership in the exchange and overarching optimization across E.ON’s German sales brands
Active member of the “I sell” leadership team, including co-responsibility for team development, cross-functional initiatives and optimization.
A convincing Background
University degree and at least 7 years of leadership and general management experience in large organizations
Experience in sales B2C and Sales management, digital customer journeys and proven track record in digitizing End-to-End customer journeys and processes
Experience in managing external partners
Proven track record in people development and experience in leading teams through times of change
Experience and knowledge in digitization of processes and business models
Understanding of consumer trends, marketing approaches and sales strategies, highly developed customer centric thinking
Technical understanding of new energy solutions, as well as understanding of IT, data and digital
Strong E2E focus, striving for continuous optimization along the whole value chain
Excellent negotiation and networking skills
Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate large sales organization i.e. in context of fundamental transformation
Ability to develop a respectful and diverse culture internally and externally
High ability to drive a business through fundamental changes in ambiguous environment
Strong agile mindset which drives the empowerment of teams
