Responsibilities
For many application engineering related tasks, the ordinary won’t do. That’s especially true for a Staff Application Engineer. As such you are the technical superhero for our customers and will be responsible for a broad variety of tasks: From hands on activities like working with different development boards, analyzing challenging customer needs with our devices to documentation, customer consulting as well as trainings. This job is an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise.
Your new role includes:
- Application engineering for Security Controllers products
- Responsibility for worldwide customer support in collaboration with Infineon's regional teams
- Creation of application notes for Security Controllers, especially on software implementation for interfaces such as NFC, UART, I2C, I3C, SWP, SPI, including multi-interface usage
- Systematic information flow to Regional and Field Application Engineers as well as customers on news about products, tools & software (versions, updates, release dates)
- Technical understanding of new security requirements (hardware and software) and their transfer into the roadmap processes; generate ideas for new contactless and embedded security business, e.g. biometric applications
- Technical presentations/trainings on Security Controllers for external and internal parties
Your Profile
You have a pioneering spirit, passion for technologies and always look at the bigger picture. You think that teamwork really makes the dream work and thus, are able to communicate clearly not only with your own team, but also with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You listen actively to customers and consider their point of view, thoughts and ideas in order to balance their requirements and the interests of Infineon.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A university degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Deep knowledge in contactless (e.g. ISO14443) and contact-based (e.g. ISO7816, I2C, I3C, SWP, SPI) interfaces and related protocols
- Experience in Arm architecture, security concept and instruction set
- Sound programming skills in C
- Experience in secure microcontroller applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent language proficiency in English. German is a plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
