Job-Beschreibung und Hinweise für Staff Engineer Compact Modeling (f/m/div)*

We are looking for an experienced Staff Engineer Compact Modeling who will be responsible for the characterization and modeling of integrated smart power devices for Automotive Technologies. You will work in a highly motivated and flat organized team of technical experts developing process design kits (PDK) for automotive products and beyond. Our internal customers are circuit designers who are distributed worldwide. With this position, you will be entering our „technical ladder”: our career path for experts. Responsibilities


In your new role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Measurements of device characteristics on wafer level for power semiconductor devices
  • Extraction of spice level simulation models from parameter measurements
  • Extraction of statistical models from process control monitoring data
  • Fitting model parameters to measurement data
  • Quality assurance and documentation
  • Support of circuit designers using the models for circuit simulation
  • Development of new methods for measurement and parameter extraction

Your Profile


You are a team player with an innovative mindset and you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people. You are open to new ideas and receptive to other ways of thinking or working. Furthermore, you focus on the needs of our customers, including the design community, and can communicate with them clearly and independently.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or a related field
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in semiconductor technologies, preferably in compact modeling-related subjects, like device measurement and SPICE models development
  • Knowledge and experience with analog circuit design is a plus
  • Knowledge of DC and CV measurement systems. Knowledge of ICCAP software, VerilogA, and Python are a plus
  • Ideally also an understanding in technology processes, PDK development or use, understanding of a design flow
  • Fluent English skills, German is a plus
