Our team provides electromagnetic (EM) simulation and characterization support across all Infineon business divisions – from Automotive to Chipcard and Security – as part of the central Backend Innovation Development Department. We simulate, model and optimize microelectronic packages, printed circuit boards, and system components such as embedded passives and antennas. Joining us as Staff Engineer you can grow technically and significantly influence the products of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
In your new role, you will:
- Be responsible for 3D modeling and EM simulation of power packages, printed circuit boards and passive components using ANSYS EM simulation tools
- Develop and optimize power packages, printed circuit boards and passive components such as power inductors and transformers
- Support our technology and product development teams with EM simulation, power electronic expertise and show optimization potentials for future technologies or products
- Support evaluation and calibration of simulation tools and development of methodology for EM simulations
- Take part in expert rounds and gather up-to-date knowledge for our team
Your Profile
In your daily work you pursue high quality and keep the customer informed appropriately, transparently, and regularly. Furthermore, you have a strong passion and the courage to develop new and creative ideas.
You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study
- At least 3-5 years of professional work experience with ANSYS EM simulation tools like Q3D, Maxwell, HFSS & Designer
- Strong experience in simulation, modeling and characterization of power packages, printed circuit boards and passive components
- Knowledge on electro-thermal co-simulations using Comsol and Icepak would be beneficial
- Very good English communication skills – German language skills would be a plus
