Qualifications
- Experience as a venture leader /business founder who has built and /or scaled a business and continues to do so with successful exits or played this role in a large organization
- Background in technology who can double-hat as a CPO, CTO, or CINO
- Substantial experience in building a new digital business, business unit, or as an executive in a startup ecosystem
- Experience leading cross-functional teams; experience managing technical and analytics resources to create meaningful and measurable impact
- Interest in all aspects of building a high growth digital company and teams including concept, strategy, funding, technology, branding, GTM, building high functioning leadership teams
- Outstanding leadership experience; demonstrates a team-oriented and collaborative approach, outstanding listening skills, and ability to manage through influence
- Ability to create long term relationships and operate with very senior clients; comfortable functioning at the highest levels of client organizations
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, especially across Western Europe

What You'll Do
You will help build disruptive digital capabilities for large organizations, driving lasting innovation and breakthrough engagement.
In this role, depending on client needs, you will help create a new digital unit for an existing business or help incubate and ultimately scale a new stand-alone business. In both contexts, you will start with a strong mandate for innovation and seed teams both from our clients and with McKinsey practitioners - product owners, user-centric designers, engineers, agile experts and more - and a strong interim leadership team to operate the new entity.
You will partner with clients to transform their digital capabilities using our build-operate-transfer approach. You’ll leverage your experience in defining and leading tech-enabled transformations. You will work daily alongside colleagues from varying backgrounds on client needs, helping create a vision and road map for their new business, products or service lines. You will architect the future of these enterprises and be at the center of innovation for clients as you help expand their business and establish a functioning organization.
Your role will be a mix of Venture Leader, Entrepreneur in residence as well as C-suite type leadership for the businesses you help create. You will lead multiple cross-functional teams of both digital and non-digital professionals with the view to build a sustainable business you can hand over to our clients.
