Job-Beschreibung und Hinweise für WTG Package Manager

Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with global offices in eight countries, Northland owns or has an economic interest in 2.7 GW (net 2.3 GW) of operating generating capacity and a significant inventory of early to mid-stage development opportunities encompassing 4 to 5 GW of potential capacity.


Northland Power Europe GmbH (NPE), a Northland Power Inc. (NPI) related company, is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to fill the position as Package Manager Wind Turbine Generator (m/f/d) for a German offshore wind cluster, consisting of >1GW capacity.


NPE is a 100% subsidiary of Northland Power Inc (“Northland”) and acts as a European head office and provides services as NPI’s offshore wind operations hub to NPI’s overseas offshore wind projects. The NPE team also supports Northland’s global offshore wind project development work.



What you’ll do:

As Package Manager you will manage the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package, with a focus on supporting the planning and consent of the project. In addition, you coordinate the development of interfaces & deliverables with other packages as well as manage project specific design processes, execute strategies for development, lead WTG tender process, and WTG execution. You will report to the Senior Project Manager of the offshore wind cluster.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and manage support staff to develop strategies and procure and install WTGs in the offshore wind park cluster.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies incl. EU, CAD and local tendering rules as well as with Procurement Management Plan & Procurement Manual
  • Maintain and enhance HSE in planning of package scope
  • Liaise with Procurement team to support procurement and local content activities (as applicable)
  • Ensure coordination with other Package Managers, Technical PM/EPCI director, Legal and Commercial Management, Procurement team & Regulatory team.
  • Lead the WTG tender process and ensure WTG interfaces & deliverables are developed
  • Support bid submissions & business case with WTG inputs to the Devex, Capex, and Opex
  • Develop the Employer’s Requirements, specifications, design and technical documents for the WTG package, including both execution and operations needs
  • Ensure WTG package is progressing according to scope, budget and quality
  • Manage the technical requirements of the procurement and supply of the WTG agreement, support the commercial aspects of the tender and the commercial-technical interfaces.
  • Encourage and drive knowledge sharing with other asset projects
  • Ensure transparent decision making and adequate documentation
  • Support risk management within the WTG package
  • Prepare quality plan & quality activity schedule with PMO and Quality Package
  • Overall accountable for the WTG deliverables

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong project management and WTG overall experience (preferably 10+ years)
